Small hole popping EDM works in a similar way as a wire EDM machine, with the difference being, rather than a wire cutting through the material, it uses a brass or copper rod to bore through the material. Deionized water is pumped through the rod to flush out debris created from the electrical discharge, leaving a clean, burr free hole.

With our new Mitzubishi hole popper we are capable of popping a hole as small as .008 (.2mm) to a .120 (3.0mm) hole through hardened material up to 13 inches thick.
